Triumph Motorcycles' TF 450-RC has delivered a standout debut season in European motocross, with Max Nagl and Alvin Östlund crowned vice-champions in the ADAC MX Masters 450 Championship in Germany and the SVEMO MXSM MX1 Swedish National Motocross Championship, respectively.

In Germany, Nagl immediately took the championship lead from the beginning of the season having gelled with his TF 450-RC machine with the Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek team. Mid-season, a recurring throat infection thwarted the former GP winner’s progress, although despite his health struggles, Nagl continued to line up with relentless determination.

At the seventh round in Bitche, France, Nagl made an emphatic return to the front of the field taking two commanding race wins and a spectacular comeback in the third moto, storming through the field after an early crash, which restored his place at the top of the standings. At the final round in Holzgerlingen, the German-star came back from an issue in the first of three races to battle for points in difficult conditions. Nagl took a second position in the last moto of the season to secure an outstanding runner-up place in the championship.

In Sweden, Alvin Östlund enjoyed an impressive MX1 season aboard his FF-Racing Triumph machine. The racer from Hallstahammar had a plethora of top three moto finishes, with four runner-up podium finishes and his first overall victory aboard Triumph machinery at the fifth round in Ulricehamns MK.

In an incredible showdown for the final moto of the season held in Vimmerby, Östlund led proceedings until the final stages with the top two riders nearly lapping the entire field. Östlund concluded the race in second and secured an impressive runner-up position in the championship. Triumph and Östlund were awarded for having the most holeshots of the season with the TF 450-RC in the MXSM series and also won the Swedish SM Sprint Motocross event earlier in the season.

The Triumph TF 450-RC has immediately proven its performance credentials by achieving two national vice-champion titles in its first full year of competition and production. These domestic successes build on a growing list of off-road race wins for Triumph machinery in some of the world’s most demanding competitions over the past 18 months.

Max Nagl – 2025 ADAC Masters 450 Vice-Champion

“Our season started very well. We were able to win the very first race of the season, which was a great achievement considering everything was new — a new motorcycle, a new team. It’s not always easy to get everything on the right track at the beginning. Finishing the season in second place in the ADAC MX Masters series is something we can be proud of. Now, the focus is on continuing to work throughout the winter so we can fight for the title again next year. Many thanks to Triumph, Dörr Motorsport powered by Krettek, and all the fans and partners for this great season.”

Alvin Östlund – 2025 MXSM MX1 Vice-Champion

“It's been a great season on the new Triumph 450. As soon as I got the bike, I was able to get into the swing of things right away thanks to the great chassis and I was amazed at how good the bike was right out of the box, completely standard. The starts have been really good throughout the year and I won the holeshot prize during the Swedish Championship. I also managed to win the sprint in Norrköping, which was a fun competition. During all the Swedish Championship rounds I've had very consistent results and collected stable points, and with no technical problems throughout the year, which has been very important. The goal was to win the Swedish Championship, but I fell four points short this year, so it was very close, but I can still be satisfied, especially with the last three races where I feel like I found another gear.”

Ian Kimber – Head Of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles

“We’d like to say a huge congratulations to both Max, Alvin and their teams for their fantastic first seasons on the TF 450-RC. To be on a completely new bike and battle for the championship at the highest level in their country says a lot about how competitive the bike is, and we are grateful to them for believing in our product. For Triumph to achieve so much success at domestic level is something we are really proud of, and it’s an outstanding starting point for us for the future.”
