Triumph Motorcycles and OSET Bikes are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our products throughout their entire lifecycle. As a registered producer of both electrical equipment and batteries, we recognize our responsibilities to promote a circular economy by facilitating the correct disposal, treatment and wherever possible recycling of these components when they have reached the end of their serviceable life.

In accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations 2013 and the Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, we fulfil our ‘Producer’ obligations as follows:

• Producer Registration. We are registered with the Environment Agency and participate in approved Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS) and Battery Compliance Schemes (BCS) to help fund the collection and treatment of electrical and battery waste in the UK.

• Product Marking. Where applicable our products are marked with the wheelie bin symbol, indicating where a product or component must not be disposed of in general household waste.

• Reporting and Transparency. We maintain rigorous records of all EEE and batteries placed on the UK market. We submit quarterly and annual reports to the national authorities to ensure we are meeting our recovery and recycling targets.

• Take-Back Services. We provide and support take-back arrangements for relevant waste electrical and electronic equipment and batteries to enable their proper collection, treatment and recycling at end-of-life, which are outlined below:

Customers have several options for disposing of waste electrical and battery componentry:

• Customers are entitled to return relevant waste electrical equipment to participating Triumph Motorcycles or OSET Bikes dealerships on a like-for-like basis, free of charge at the point of return, in accordance with applicable WEEE Regulations.

• For waste portable batteries, customers may also return batteries to designated collection points at participating dealerships, free of charge, irrespective of where the battery was originally purchased.

• Customers can arrange the return the item to an alternative registered Triumph business premises, where we will arrange further processing and recycling. Where this is required, we request customers first contact us at [email protected], outlining the component type and your contact details. We will then arrange a date for you to return the item to our nearest suitable location.

Where items are returned in person to a designated take-back location, no charge will be made for acceptance of the waste item.

Please note - Where customers choose to return items via alternative or remote arrangements (including where specialist transport is required), the cost of transport back to either a Triumph Motorcycles premises or authorised Triumph dealership are borne by the customer.

For waste batteries this return must be organised through an approved dangerous goods transportation company, equipped to handle waste batteries of that chemistry type and capacity. Once the item has been dropped off, any further costs relating to handling, processing, recycling and onward transport are borne by Triumph Motorcycles.

• Finally, customers can also take waste electrical components and batteries directly to their local authorised household waste recycling centre, free of charge.
