MCN Manufacturer of the Year 2026 - Triumph Motorcycles
Triumph is MCN’s Manufacturer of the Year 2026 after a landmark 12 months in which the British firm has demonstrated extraordinary ambition across virtually every area of its business. Five consecutive years of record global sales culminated in 141,683 motorcycles being delivered between July 2024 and June 2025 – up 136% since 2019. Yet there is no resting on laurels here, as Triumph continues to invest and expand.
The R&D department has never been busier thanks to a remarkable programme of 29 new and updated models, ranging from accessible 400s and significantly improved 660s to the new Trident 800, giving British bikers something to be excited about and aspire to. Meanwhile, the TXP electric range aims to inspire the next generation of riders.
Triumph’s rapidly expanding off-road programme is already delivering international racing success with MXGP wins and genuine world championship title contention, while innovations such as Reserve My Triumph improve the customer experience.
Add its continued Moto2 involvement and decade-plus support for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, and Triumph contribution extends far beyond simply making great bikes. At a challenging time for the industry, its continued growth, ambition, and innovation make this British success story something really worth celebrating.
MCN Best Sub-1000cc Adventure Bike 2026 - Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro
The Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro retains MCN’s Best Sub-1000cc Adventure Bike award in one of the most fiercely contested categories in motorcycling. While significant new contenders including CFMoto’s 1000MT-X and 800MT-ES arrived too late to meet the 2026 Awards eligibility deadline, the Tiger still faced down formidable opposition from Honda, Ducati, KTM, Yamaha, BMW, Aprilia, and Voge.
Against that competition, it remains an exceptionally polished and complete road-going adventure bike. Its 888cc triple combines strong, usable performance with impressive refinement, while electronically adjustable suspension, a quickshifter, heated grips and comprehensive safety technology make the GT Pro exceptionally well equipped – especially with the added sweetener of £1100-worth of free panniers and rails.
More importantly, everything works beautifully together. Reassuring handling, effortless performance, genuine touring and pillion ability and excellent everyday usability create a remarkably accomplished package – and one that remains extremely difficult to fault.
MCN Best Tall-Rounder 2026 - Tiger Sport 800
The Triumph Tiger Sport 800 retains MCN’s Best Tall-Rounder award for 2026 because the qualities that put it at the top last year remain just as compelling. Its characterful triple hits the sweet-spot of performance, while its relatively modest weight and slim standover means it’s got maximum manageability and is capable of delivering genuine touring ability without the bulk and intimidation of larger-capacity rivals. Agile and entertaining when ridden hard, it’s equally comfortable, refined and practical for commuting or covering big miles. Add strong standard specification and competitive pricing, and the Tiger Sport 800 continues to nail the tall-rounder brief. Despite renewed competition, nothing we’ve tested has produced a more convincing all-round package.
