Jonny Walker Claims Runner-Up Result at Red Bull Tyne Ride
Racing Triumph Motorcycles 1st Sep 2025

Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team’s Jonny Walker has delivered a superb performance at Red Bull Tyne Ride, taking second place in front of a passionate home crowd on the banks of the River Tyne in Newcastle, UK. Racing through the knockout-style format, Walker showcased speed, skill, and consistency on his TF 250-E to reach the final, where he finished as runner-up to local favourite Billy Bolt.

The unique SuperEnduro-style event saw riders battle head-to-head across a number of heats, with each duel decided over the best of three races. Walker began his charge in style, defeating reigning FIM Hard Enduro World Champion Manuel Lettenbichler in the quarter-finals. Progressing to the semis, Jonny then faced experienced American rider Cody Webb, where he secured back-to-back wins to book his place in the final showdown.

In the final, Walker lined up against Newcastle’s own Billy Bolt in front of a roaring home crowd. The two went head-to-head across a demanding track built with man-made obstacles, log sections, rock gardens, and big jumps. Walker kept the racing close throughout, showing precision and control as he pushed his Triumph hard in both heats. Bolt ultimately secured two wins to take the crown, but Walker’s runner-up ride highlighted his pace and composure against one of the toughest rivals in the sport.

“Red Bull Tyne Ride has been an amazing event. I ended up finishing second to Billy (Bolt), which I’m really pleased with. The racing here has been fantastic with some really close battles on a challenging but super-fun track. The fans have been incredible, and I hope that they enjoyed the show we put on here this weekend. Even the weather stayed good. Thanks to all the organisers and people who came down to watch, I’m already looking forward to next year.”
