Jamie Mccanney Shows Strong Form at Endurogp of Italy

The Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team tackled the penultimate round of the 2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Darfo Boario Terme, Italy, competing aboard the TF 250-E in challenging conditions across two demanding days of racing. Jamie McCanney delivered a strong showing with back-to-back top-five finishes in the Enduro1 class, while teammate Mikael Persson fought through injury to secure points on day one.
After a ninth-place result in Friday night’s Super Test, Jamie McCanney made a strong start on Saturday, ultimately going on to finish fourth in Enduro1 and matching his best class result of the season so far. Fresh off his British Enduro Championship win the previous weekend, Jamie showed consistent pace across the special tests and positive progress aboard his TF 250-E in wet, difficult conditions. On Sunday, the Manxman continued to push on the challenging terrain, finishing 16th overall and fifth in Enduro1, securing valuable points and maintaining his strong position of fifth the Enduro1 standings.
Mikael Persson also faced tough conditions on Saturday while managing an injury sustained at the GP of Portugal. Despite this, he recorded competitive special test results, including a seventh place, and finished 20th overall and seventh in class. Mikael was unable to race on Sunday due to his injury, instead focusing on recovery ahead of the final round of the season, leaving him seventh overall and fourth in Enduro1 in the championship standings.
Triumph Italia Racing’s Morgan Lesiardo made history on Sunday aboard his TF 250-E, taking victory in Enduro1 and finishing second overall in EnduroGP. This marked Triumph’s first Enduro1 win and the brand’s first overall podium in the championship, demonstrating the competitiveness and reliability of the TF 250-E at the highest level.
The FIM EnduroGP season concludes in three weeks at the GP of Germany in Zschopau from October 17-19.
Jamie McCanney:
“So that’s us finished here in Italy, and it was definitely an interesting race! Conditions have been really difficult, and it’s been a while since I’ve raced such technical, stony tests, so I paid the price of that this weekend. Overall, though, we’ve brought home points in EnduroGP and Enduro1, and my focus is on getting stronger for the last round in Germany.”
Mikael Persson:
“Saturday was a tough day for me! I’ve been battling some injuries but pushing as hard as I can and trying to make the best of what I can do. I’m happy to still have brought some points home. Unfortunately, the team and I made the decision to not start on Sunday. I’m dealing with an injury, which was worsened after a crash yesterday, so I need to focus on recovery now. It’s a shame to be out of the podium fight, but we will come back stronger, I’m sure.”
