The team returns to the picturesque Cheshire circuit fresh from a productive pre-season test, with Luke Stapleford, the 2015 British Supersport Champion and last year’s vice-champion, finishing second fastest onboard his Street Triple 765 RS. Teammate Max Wadsworth showed strong pace too, ending the final test in ninth position, ready to build on a positive 2024 campaign.

Luke Stapleford #8:

“I can’t wait to get going, we’ve made some really good changes over the winter and the team has worked hard to make the package even better than last year. The grid looks even stronger this year too which is great for the racing and I'm confident we’re going to be fighting for race wins from the off. The goal remains the same as last year and that’s the championship. I really want to bring that result back to Dave and the team this year.”

Max Wadsworth #72:

“I’m really looking forward to starting the season this weekend at Oulton Park. It’s been a long off-season but testing was really positive last week and we’ve made a lot of improvements. I just can’t wait to get back to racing!”

In the National Sportbike Championship, all eyes will be on the Daytona 660 as it returns to the grid after a title-winning debut in 2024. Macadam Triumph Factory Racing has four riders competing for honours; Brodie Gawith, Jayden Martin, Katie Hand and Lewis Smart.

They are joined by Triumph factory-supported Daytona 660 riders Thomas Strudwick and Harrison Dessoy, who are both determined to build on last year’s strong result in what’s set to be one of the most competitive seasons yet.

The Daytona 660 made an immediate impact on its racing debut in 2024, with Richard Cooper securing the National Sportbike Championship title onboard the Triumph. In recognition of his achievements, Cooper was recently inducted into Triumph’s Avenue of Legends.

Brodie Gawith #27:

“I’m excited to get the season underway. It’s a new class and bike for me, so I’m focused on improving every time I go out and aiming for a solid result to start the year.”

Jayden Martin #85:

“I’m super excited to get the season under way and put all the hard work through the off-season into action. Hopefully we can get some strong results this year.”

Katie Hand #66:

“This weekend is going to be a good challenge and I’m ready to give it my 100%, I have a bit of work to do to put everything into place but I believe we can, and I’m excited to be on the grid in 2025 onboard the 660!”

Lewis Smart #32:

“I’m really looking forward to this season, we’ve had a positive pre-season test on the bike but I still have more to give. I’m starting to feel more comfortable on the bike now and improving on each outing. My aim for this season is to have top 10 results and then be fighting for the podium.”

Dave Wadsworth, Macadam Triumph Factory Racing Team Owner:

“I’m really looking forward to the 2025 season in both British Supersport and National Sportbike. We’ve got Luke gunning for the title this year, and Max is also going really well and aiming for strong results. In Sportbike, we’ve got a fantastic line-up of young talent — Katie and Jay continue with the team, and we’re excited to welcome Brodie and Lewis for their debut season. They’re all hungry for podiums and race wins, and we can’t wait to get going at Oulton Park this weekend.”

Ian Kimber, Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles:

“We’re really looking forward to Oulton Park and the start of the BSB season. We enjoyed a lot of success with Macadam Triumph Factory Racing last year, and Dave and the team have been working hard behind the scenes ready for the new season. Obviously, we are aiming to be battling for the title again in British Supersport, and the goal is to build a strong foundation for that championship challenge over the next few races. It was an incredible year for Triumph with the Daytona 660 in the inaugural National Sportbike season, and the racing for the title went down to the wire. It was an exciting championship, and we’re sure the competition will be even hotter in 2025. The Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team is fielding four riders, and we also have a couple of supported riders all looking for strong results. We hope in the long-term this will be a good feeder series into our global racing efforts, and with all the knowledge we gained last season, we are really looking forward to seeing what these young riders can do this year.”
