Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team’s Mikael Persson is gearing up to take on the prestigious 2025 International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Bergamo, Italy, from August 24-29. Representing Team Sweden in the Men’s World Trophy category aboard his TF 250-E, Persson will make history as the first factory Triumph rider to compete at the iconic event, a landmark moment for Triumph Motorcycles.

First held in 1913, the ISDE is the oldest and most prestigious event in offroad motorcycling, where the world’s best riders compete for national glory. Known as the ‘Olympics of Motorcycling’, the six-day contest demands absolute endurance, consistency, and skill. This year’s 99th edition returns to Italy for the first time in four years, with Bergamo offering a classic mix of demanding terrain, mountain sections and spectacular scenery.

Persson is no stranger to ISDE success. In his six previous appearances, he has split his time between the Junior Trophy and Men’s Trophy categories. The Swede has claimed standout results at the ISDE, including finishing third overall individually in 2021, the last time the event was held in Italy, and winning the E3 class individually in 2022. Under the guidance of Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager Paul Edmondson, who has represented Great Britain multiple times and earned an incredible 18 ISDE gold medals, Persson has both the experience and mentorship to deliver a strong performance at the iconic event.

Mikael heads into Bergamo on strong form following an impressive season so far in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship. Competing in the E1 category, Persson has claimed multiple podiums and sits third in the E1 standings and fifth overall in EnduroGP, demonstrating that he has the speed, consistency, and determination needed for six days of intense competition.

Alongside Persson, several other riders will also line up in Bergamo on Triumph TF 250-E machinery: Arvid Modin (Johansson MPE Triumph) for Team Sweden Juniors, Morgan Lesiardo (Triumph Italia) for Team Italy Men’s, and Alex Walton (Triumph Italia) and Harry Edmondson (Fast Eddy Triumph) for Team GB Men’s.

The 2025 International Six Days Enduro begins on Sunday 24 August, with riders facing over 1,000km of timed special tests and transfer before the event concludes with the traditional final motocross test on Friday 29 August.

Mikael Persson: “I’m really looking forward to the coming week in Italy for the ISDE! With it being the factory team’s debut at the event, I’m excited to get underway with the team and we’re all hopeful for a good result. Team Sweden has a really strong line-up this year, and I have a lot of good memories from the ISDE so I’m feeling ready. Last time out in Italy, I finished third overall individually, which is one of my standout results. My goal is to be on the podium with Team Sweden, and get a strong individual result overall too. I can’t wait to get racing!”

Paul Edmondson – Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager: “It’s been an exciting year so far for Triumph in EnduroGP, so to turn our attention to the ISDE in our debut year is incredible. Mikael has been on top form this year, so we have no doubt that he will do Team Sweden proud and race to a positive result. This race is one of the most historic in the world and is very close to my heart having competed in it nearly 20 times. We can’t wait to put the team and the bike to the test in Italy and see what the 2025 ISDE has to throw at us!”

Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles:

“Triumph has a strong history in the International Six Days, so it’s really exciting to see Mikael line up on one of our factory bikes. The team has had a great start to the year and has been showing everyone how competitive the TF250-E can be in world class competition. This is backed up by the number of other riders that are using our machines to compete, giving a strong representation for Triumph. I wish all the Triumph riders, and their countries, the best of luck, and look forward to seeing Mikael pushing hard.”
