Developed with feedback from the toughest motocross Grands Prix events and supercross arenas, the TF 250-X’s high-revving single-cylinder engine is engineered for maximum performance in elite competition. Its ultra-compact, low-inertia design delivers a rapid throttle response, fast acceleration and precise power delivery to deliver holeshots and inspire confidence when hitting jumps, railing ruts or attacking rhythm sections. COMPONENTS FOR MAXIMUM DURABILITY AND RESPONSE​

The TF 250-X’s powertrain delivers on durability and rideability with its premium, race-focussed features. A forged König piston, Del West titanium valves and DLC-coated components provide exceptional strength, low friction and high-RPM durability. Lightweight magnesium covers reduce mass while improving cooling efficiency, ensuring the engine provides a consistently high performance under sustained loads while fighting for victory.

IN‑HOUSE‑MACHINED PRECISION ENGINEERING​

The TF 250-X engine is fully machined in-house for the most premium level of production utilising decades of Triumph engineering know-how. Components including the fireface, combustion chamber, ports, seats and guides, are created with a high level of refinement to deliver optimised port geometry and efficient airflow. CFD-perfected coolant routing ensures the engine retains a stable temperature during long motos, while the compact head design allows for serviceability with ease and rapid maintenance between motos.

ATHENA GET ENGINE CONTROL​

Co-developed with Athena, who have an abundance of experience competing at the highest level and closely work with Triumph Factory Racing on our AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross race bikes, the TF 250-X’s ECU manages ignition, traction and launch strategies with race-proven precision. Two standard engine maps offer full-power and softened delivery modes, while the optional Wi-Fi module and MX Tune Pro app unlock ten additional maps for next-level tailored power character, throttle response and engine braking. Customising the TF 250-X to the rider’s personal preferences with technology enjoyed by the pros couldn’t be easier.

HIGH‑FLOW INTAKE SYSTEM FOR MAXIMUM AIR DELIVERY​

A Dell’Orto 44 mm throttle body with a Keihin injector delivers supreme atomisation and a crisp throttle response. The high-flow airbox features a simple, yet important tool-free access for rapid servicing with a high-quality Twin Air filter fitted, ensuring maximum airflow and protection in the most demanding motocross conditions.

RACE‑READY KYB SUSPENSION PACKAGE​

The premium KYB AOS suspension package refined with the latest race-developed settings combines 48 mm AOS coil-spring forks and a fully adjustable piggyback rear shock for pro-level control and feedback. The Air-Oil Separation system keeps damping consistent under repeated high-load impacts, while precision-tuned valving and a 50 mm-piston rear shock deliver a precise front-end feel, stable traction and controlled landings.

D.I.D DIRTSTAR WHEELS & PIRELLI MX32 TYRES​

Lightweight, high-strength D.I.D DirtStar 7000-series aluminium rims deliver a high-level of durability under repeated race-pace impacts and provide consistent handling feel in the toughest conditions. Paired with race-proven Pirelli MX32 mid-soft tyres, the package offers exceptional grip, predictable slide behaviour and strong braking traction, giving riders confidence and control in soft-to-intermediate terrain and technical sections.

PRECISION‑TUNED NEKEN TRIPLE CLAMPS​

Lightweight 7075-T6 forged clamps have been designed to provide sublime stiffness to give the rider sharper steering, better front-end feel, and smoother tracking through technical sections. The result is a precise, responsive feeling in rough sand, right through to tough rhythm combinations and the gnarliest of hardpack terrain.

RIDER-FOCUSED ERGONOMICS PACKAGE​

The TF 250-X features a 960 mm seat height that provides a confidence-inspiring, race-ready standover for rapid line changes, aggressive corner entries and stable control through ruts and jump faces. The slim bodywork, as seen on our race-winning factory machines, and narrow mid-section allow unrestricted movement, helping riders shift weight quickly and maintain balance with comfort and ease at full race pace.

SEAMLESS RIDER TRIANGLE FOR AGGRESSIVE MX MOVEMENT​

The optimised handlebar-seat-footpeg triangle inspired by feedback from pro-level racers and champions, delivers a natural, attack-ready riding position that supports explosive acceleration, hard braking and rapid transitions in the toughest of technical sections. ProTaper ACF carbon-core handlebars, ODI lock-on grips and the motocross-profiled seat work together to minimise fatigue, while maximising rider mobility and control during intense motos.

ENHANCED RIDER CONNECTION ​

Thanks to feedback in the most prestigious championships, the MY27 ergonomic refinements improve rider sensitivity and reduce fatigue when in the heat of the competition. Updated control interfaces and improved component positioning enhance feedback from the chassis and powertrain, allowing riders to enjoy an improved traction feeling more clearly, react faster and maintain a consistently strong performance deep into the race.

ENHANCED FEEL THROUGH TUNED FLEX CHARACTERISTICS​

Internally machined frame sections create a precisely controlled stiffness profile, improving feedback and rider sensitivity under heavy braking, hard landings and high-load cornering. The lightweight aluminium spine frame and compact mass-centralised layout deliver razor-sharp directional control and fast line changes, as needed at the highest level of competition where every millisecond counts. This optimised balance, developed by Triumph’s R&D department combined with those in the heat of the competition, gives riders the confidence to attack jump faces, rail ruts and transition through rhythm sections with precision while twisting the throttle for maximum performance.

The hydroformed swingarm and forged-machined linkage system uses motocross-proven geometry developed in conjunction with our factory race teams around the globe.
