Category dominating rider-focused motorcycling technology
The all-new Scrambler 1200 is an exciting benchmark-setting motorcycle that represents the next step in dual-purpose riding. Everything a modern scrambler should be; this new 1200 evolution has advanced performance, attitude and style, fused with all the capability of a genuine adventure motorcycle, built to deliver a sublime riding experience on every road.
A new modern classic motorcycle range that lives up to the legend that Triumph started – a bike that’s every inch a true scrambler, and as amazing on the road as it is off, with incredible standards of power, class-leading equipment, and timeless style.
And it’s why the Scrambler 1200 XC and XE models are both loaded with category defining, properly useful, advanced technology to enhance an already-magnificent ride.
THE SCRAMBLER 1200 XC
The new Scrambler 1200 XC is not only a phenomenal blend of modern custom style and authentic iconic Triumph scrambler DNA but also the first of a whole new category thanks to its unique high specification and genuine all-road capability. And, to complement these new innovations, an incredible array of new motorbike technology has been included as an integral part of your ride.
‘For the ride’ technology
Switchable ABS and traction control enhance rider interaction. Five riding modes – Road, Off-Road, Rain, Sport, and Rider-Configurable – can each be enabled via the XC’s backlit switchcubes to suit the conditions and your riding preference, whatever terrain you’re considering. The torque-assist clutch reduces lever effort (a huge benefit, particularly on longer journeys) to optimise rider comfort.
The beautifully integrated new 2nd generation full-colour TFT instrument display has two distinctive personalisable design themes that ensure readability in all conditions. There is an all-LED Scrambler 1200 lighting set-up including front 5-inch headlight (incorporating Daytime Running Lights where market legislation allows), tail-light with attractive diffused opacity detailing, and market-appropriate indicators. Triumph’s keyless ignition system, cruise control, and USB charging socket are all fitted as standard.
The Scrambler 1200 XC can also be fitted with an accessory Bluetooth connectivity module that enables a world’s first integrated GoPro control system, together with ‘turn by turn’ navigation powered by Google through a new Triumph phone app. The Bluetooth connectivity module also enables phone and music operation, with all three features being accessed and managed by the rider via the new TFT instrument display. A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and heated grips are also available as accessories for the XC.
THE SCRAMBLER 1200 XE
Leading the next step in scrambling evolution, the all-new XE is designed for outstanding dual-purpose performance and control, and advanced technology is central to creating a top-of-the-range riding experience. With all the cutting edge specification of the XC, plus a package of premium state-of-the-art technology that has never been available together on any Triumph motorcycle ever before, here’s how the range-topping category-leading Scrambler XE adds to your top quality ride.
Premium XE technology
The world’s first motorcycle integrated GoPro control system (facilitated through a Bluetooth connectivity module available as an accessory) enables camera operation while you’re riding. Another first comes courtesy of intuitive ‘turn-by-turn’ navigation which is displayed on the TFT instruments. This new navigation system is supported by Google and delivered through a new Triumph app. Phone and music operation is also supported, allowing the rider to control their music and phone operation via the illuminated switchcube control.
‘For the ride’ technology
The XE’s optimised cornering ABS and traction control systems are central to this superior riding experience. These are supported by an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that continuously takes measurements and calculates lean angle, automatically adjusting ride settings to optimise ride quality and stability even in extreme conditions.
Completing the XE’s phenomenal specification is an incredible range of all-purpose technology, including Triumph’s new second generation full-colour TFT instrument display. This has a feature that allows the rider to personalise the start-up screen with their name, and is controlled by the illuminated switchcubes to give you all the ride information you want, when you need it, in pin-sharp detail. There are six riding modes on the XE – Road, Off-Road, Rain, Sport, Rider-Configurable, and Triumph’s adventure bike spec Off-Road Pro mode – each of which adjusts throttle response, ABS, and traction control settings to suit your surroundings. And Triumph’s keyless ignition system, heated grips, cruise control and USB charging socket are of course included as standard.
