TOMCC Coventry Transport Museum Ride In

Triumph Owners enjoyed a successful ride from the Triumph Owners' Motorcycle Club Meriden branch home of the former Triumph Factory to the Ace Cafe Exhibition at the Coventry Transport Museum on Saturday 3rd September.

Over two hundred riders attended on bikes ranging from a 1926 triumph Model P to a three day old Daytona 675R with bikes ranging in size from a 200cc Tiger Cub to a 2,300cc Rocket Three.

Percy Tait, former Triumph racer was in attendance as the guest of honour for the day, arriving at 12 noon. Percy was quickly surrounded by fans asking questions and wanting his autograph.

Coventry Transport Museum had arranged Percy to sign a poster from the 1970’s showing him in his glory days on the all conquering Formula 750 Trident. Copies of these pictures were available free of charge and were quickly dispatched to the crowd.

Percy was joined later by David Green, ex Triumph (Meriden & Hinckley) Draughtsman.
