TTC rider given wildcard entry to Supersport Cup at Oulton

2012-07-04

Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) front runner Phil Aktinson will has been given a wildcard ride in the British Supersport Cup at Oulton Park on 6-8th July.

After some impressive results on his TTC spec Daytona 675, Atkinson will race in the British Supersport Cup aboard a 2010 Supersport ready Daytona 675 loaned by Triumph authorised dealer Jack Lilley.

The bike, which was once used by racer Paul Young in the 2010 Supersport Championship, has been transformed with new livery for Atkinson’s Supersport debut.

Atkinson, who’ll race with number 59 for the weekend, has enjoyed success at Oulton Park in the past and is looking forward to the experience. “I am absolutely thrilled to be given the opportunity to ride the triumph Supersport bike. I am under no illusion as to how difficult the Supersport class is, but I will be looking to gain experience and enjoy the weekend. I would like to thank Dave from Jack Lilley Triumph for giving me this fantastic opportunity, and I’m looking forward to building on the good relationship we already have.”
