Triumph Triple Challenge, Snetterton
2011-07-03
The Triumph Triple Challenge has established itself as the stepping stone for the Superbike riders of tomorrow and for 2011 it becomes an integral part of the British Superbike Championship, supporting nine BSB rounds.
Competitors ride identical Triumph Daytona 675s, which are ideally suited to the challenges of circuit racing and they are fighting for one the most coveted prizes in motorcycle sport - a fully funded ride on a Triumph Daytona 675 in the 2012 Junior Superstock or Supersport Cup, depending on their age.
The fourth round take place at the new Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk over the first weekend of July. Snetterton's owners (MSV) have invested in a major upgrade of the circuit over the winter and this will be the Challenge's first visit to the revised facility. Fast and spectacular racing has aleays been a feature of Snetterton and the changes, where riders now challenge an infield section before emerging for the bridge and "bombhole", look set to enhance that reputation. The chicane leading onto the start/finish straight has also been remodeled, so get ready for the sight of a pack of Daytona 675s in a drag race for the chequered flag!
While at Snetterton, check out the Triumph Triple Challenge Village in the paddock, where you can see the bikes and riders as well as get the latest Triumph merchandise.
